Imprisoned by Kaiho in the fortified city of Kyuryu, Yamiko manages to summon Aragami – a spirit of vengeance – to aid her. After materializing into the world of the living, Aragami encounters the spirit of Yamiko, who explains to him her situation.

Yamiko’s past is filled with tragedy. Her family was murdered by a group of Light adepts when she was just a child, and she was consequently forced to live in the wild for a long time before being found and brought to the city of Kyuryu. Years later, she would find herself imprisoned by the army of Light after they attack and take hold of the city of Kyuryu.

Despite her imprisonment, the summoning of Aragami has created a magical bond between summoner and summoned. Yamiko is able to appear before Aragami in spirit form to guide him through his quest to get her out of Kyuryu.

The long road ahead will strengthen the bond between Aragami and Yamiko, and slowly reveal their interlocked destiny.
